Chapter 1: Finding our Trainer

I entered the Galactic Veilstone Storage. I didn't want the direct approach with the rest of my family on my tail. But someone spotted me. "Well, hello there, Yusei, Kudon and Christine, what brings you here?"

"Sanja!?" I looked up at the human that was standing there. That human had orange hair and eyes. Then, I looked around frantically. "Sanja! Where are you!?"

"Right here," said the human, as if in response to my question. "I'm a human because of some experiments Team Galactic did on me. I can still use my attacks and understand Pokémon talk, so they haven't let me out of here."

"Well, let's go then." I said. "But first, we have to find Yugi. She's a friend and teammate of mine that went off to get breakfast today and hasn't returned since. She's an Espeon with a sapphire in her forehead instead of a ruby."

"Ok, so it shouldn't be too hard to find her." said Sanja.

"Especially since I'm right here." said Yugi. I looked directly in the direction of her voice. She looked directly back. But… behind those eyes was a lie. Physically, she was there, but mentally, she was out in the forest looking for berries.

"And you're sure you're okay? No experiments, no paints… No control?" The Espeon's ears flinched a few times, an indication of a subject she wanted to avoid. But if there were none, she would stick to the topic even though she wanted to avoid it.

But she didn't stick to the topic. "The exit… It's this way." The pause was to 'sense' the location of the exit. I exchanged glances with everyone else here.

Then I saw Evan. Or, more like, was led to him. But there was definitely something amiss. Therefore I refrained from running up to him.

Instead of being happy just to see us, after being held prisoner for a long time, he just tried to use my Poké Ball. "No," I said, with Sanja translating, "I'm not going in there. Not until someone explains what the (Yusei, I'm not saying that word) is going on."

He obviously had other plans for me. He even sent Yugi after me!

With that, I went scurrying down the hall.

I was running for my life from Yugi. In an attempt to stop her, I used Psychic. However, someone captured me in a net that trapped psychic energy. The Espeon walked up to me, claws out. "Do it. Kill him." Evan said. Yugi's claws were descending upon me rapidly.
